This 212-page scrapbook documents the roles of women during World War II as nurses and in various branches of the service: the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) - later called the Women's Army Corps (WAC) - Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES), United States Coast Guard Women's Reserve (SPAR), Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve (USMCWR), and Women's Royal Naval Service (WRENS). It contains newspaper and magazine clippings that illustrate the activities and experiences of servicewomen, a small number of which are Kappas, arranged chronologically from 1943-1945. The book features black textured covers, and its pages are held together by three metal screws.
