Beta Beta alumnae Emmogene Nutting replies that she visited Evanston, Illinois (the Upsilon chapter) as well as Grand Secretary Carla Sargent, and the Upsilon vote had been taken against the Beta Beta chapter. Nutting gives perspective on the other chapters' views of St. Lawrence University, Canton, and the Beta Beta chapter. Secretary Sargent has advised that the matter not be taken up at the 1898 National Convention floor.
