Marie-France (right) was severely injured and lost one of her eyes in the bombing of Meudon. Her older sister lost both eyes, and her grandmother and brother were killed. In this photograph, she plays with her little sister Marie-Claude, one of the Kappa campers. The Kappa Camp Project was held in various towns and cities in France for children suffering from the aftermath of World War II. This photograph was featured on page 232 of The Key, October 1951.
